WHAT TO EXPECT:

TECHNIQUE CAMP

The excitement starts before Band Camp even begins with Technique Camp…where all the magic starts!

Imagine instrumentalists honing their marching technique in sectionals, perfecting those crisp movements that make our performances so visually stunning. Meanwhile, the color guard gets a head start, mastering the intricate flag and rifle routines that will bring the show to life. This is where the foundation for a truly remarkable season is laid!

Technique Camp isn’t just about drills and exercises – it’s also about building confidence and camaraderie. You’ll get to know your fellow band members, share the thrill of learning new skills, and get pumped for the amazing season ahead!

BAND CAMP

Our Band Camp is a high-energy, week-long adventure that transforms our marching band students from individual musicians into a synchronized powerhouse. This week is a launchpad to an incredible marching band season.

By the end of the week, powerful music will fill the air, intricate choreography will come to life, and the entire band will move as one. That’s the magic of Band Camp! Our amazing Directors and their talented staff will guide students through rehearsals, helping them master both the music and the moves for our new show theme.

By the end of this action-packed week, the Band will be a cohesive unit, ready to take the field at football games, competitions, and every performance throughout the year. So to our Catawba Ridge Marching Band students, grab your instruments or flags and prepare for an unforgettable experience at this year’s Band Camp!

PARKING:

For Technique and Band Camp, we ask that students that will be picked up and dropped off, use the normal carpool route at the school located in the front of the building. People parking can use the student parking lot. This is for the safety of the students being dropped off or picked up. They will have access to the side walk so they will not have to walk through the busy parking lots.

While Band Camp is primarily dedicated to focused practice, we understand your desire to see your child in action. We encourage you to come closer to dismissal time to witness the progress they’ve made and get a glimpse of the marching band magic!

Remember, during the earlier hours of camp, students are immersed in learning routines and perfecting their craft. To ensure minimal distractions, we kindly ask our parents and volunteers to keep noise levels to a minimum.

Thank you for your understanding and support! We can’t wait for you to experience the marching band journey with us!
